Danby Hill - North Yorkshire Moors
November 2016Danby Hill can be found to the northern end of the Yorkshire moors. We saw a number of rusty metal posts poking form the ground and later found out that RAF had an early warning radar station located here. The night we stayed here the spot was ours, no one in sight. (Only what looked like Grouse could be heard.)
The morning views as the sun started to poke over the hills are excellent, this place is a must to visit.
Mulled wine on the brew – Smelling good.
As the sun meets the morning clouds
Not a soul in sight
Chips for beakfast?
Taking a few snaps
I can fly!
A stone marking the spot where and RAF radar station once operated.
Danby Beacon
Lovely rust
I’m so excited
First ones up the hill today
Look at me!
The sun trying its best to shine through the icy clouds
Then these guys turned up, playing Meat Loaf!
The North Yorkshire Moors is a large place, stretches for miles
I have no idea where this track goes to!
Who want’s a fryup?
We found lots of roads like this one.
